Canada Blooms is the largest annual indoor garden and flower show in Canada. This year the festival is being held at the Direct Energy Center in Toronto, Ontario.

Maple Syrup Festival – Elmira, Ontario
When: April 2nd
Pack up the car and bring the whole family to Elmira for the world’s largest Maple Syrup Festival. Visitors come from all over the world for this one day event. The festival is organized and run by a team of 2,000 volunteers.
Enjoy a free wagon ride and sugar bush tour. Indulge in pancakes, apple fritters and homemade toffee. Test your strength and agility in a log sawing competition. Take home a beautifully crafted quilt sewn by local Mennonites.
This event only happens one day a year so mark your calendars.
Canadian Tulip Festival (Festival of Spring)– Gatineau, PQ and Ottawa
When: May 6-23
The Canadian Tulip Festival , which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, is celebrating its 59th Anniversary. The ABA recently voted this community driven event one of the Top 100 Best Events for group travel in North America. The theme of this year’s two and a half week festival is “Kaleidoscope of Spring”.
Venues:
Commissioner’s Park is the floral center Explore the plethora of tulips at the National Capital Commission’s flower beds. Then follow the twists and turns of the Tulip Route all along the Rideau Canal.
Major’s Hill Park is the festivals headquarters, where all the fun activities take place. There are lots of children and family oriented events that everyone can take part in. Culture comes alive on the International Friendship Stage where participating countries showcase their cultural heritage through song and dance. The International Pavilion is a staple for the festival – it features exciting international cuisine, unique crafts, souvenirs and art. Best of all, all events are free of admission.
